So much going on....

But first, want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. He is Risen!!
We had a pretty laid back Easter, just the seven of us at home in our new house. This was the first year Hannah really helped out in the kitchen. She helped with the baking, cooking and just about everything. I tell you there's nothing like mother daughter bonding while cooking good food!!

I tried a bunch of new recipes this year the main one a new ham recipe. I don't know about you but I was pretty tired of the traditional pineapple ham or the ole' stand by of honey baked, so I searched the net and came up with this Glazed Ham with Ginger peach sauce, and boy was it the BEST ever!! A complete thumbs up, even the kids raved. It does have a kick to it so be prepared!!

Ok, so the second new recipe was also from this same site, a yummy cheesy sour cream potato bake, then we had green beans with cranberries, southern biscuits and buttered corn.

Everything was gluten free, my tummy just can't tolerate gluten. However I have the best source for gluten free flour mixes. She has her own business and is doing quite well. I have tried a lot of different mixes and recipes and hers is always the best. It's called Gluten free mama and you can find it here. Shipping is a little pricey but so worth it!!

So, we ended with dessert which was my famous Chocolate lava mouse with fresh cream and a gluten free cinnamon lemon cheesecake with strawberry sauce. YUMMY!! Are you hungry all over again??

A couple of things happening here. I have a bunch of things sewn and ready to go. I will be putting them up this week and they will go on a first come first serve basis. The money earned will be saved for something I reveal later with 10% going towards Grace's orphanage in China. She had a wonderful sponsor called Caring for China and they are struggling right now.

I also want to start doing blog make overs, nothing fancy, just simple ones like this one and my other blog, here. Who ever leaves me a comment first will get theirs done for free!! (you just pay for the scrap kit or use one I already have) Keep in mind these are simple two column designs.

Now for our family Easter pictures!! Enjoy and have a blessed day!!

Glad to hear you had a great Easter. The ham recipe sound great. We always do turkey, but I would so much rather have ham. I am thinking next year I am going to have to try your recipe.

I have been following your blog for a while now as a lurker, and thought now would be a good time to say "hi!"

If you get a chance, stop by our blog to see some exciting news we just posted.
