Finally ~

We are coming up for air...the big move is behind us, boxes are everywhere and dishes are missing, the toddlers are confused and the big kids are hovering around the tv waiting for the cable to be installed.

Should I tell them it isn't?!?!? Or maybe milk it so they will do more work?? LOL

Things are getting back to normal. The only downside is my kitchen....sigh. I love kitchens and mine in our new home, well it is severely lacking and in need of an overhall. Just to make is usuable. I am trying to do it on a budget and reuse most of the cabinets, add an island and some more wall cabinets. We'll see what happens...

The good news, we live right next door to a girl who was adopted from Hunan about 14 years ago. I am super excited that Hannah and her will go to the same school and that the little's will have a role model who is Asian. (plus Hannah and Lilly get along great!!)

Now how cool is that??

Are you my momma??

Isn't he just the sweetest little guy ever?? He was born 6/2008 and is in Nanjing City SWI. He was born with scoliosis. Looking at his file, it doesn't look to severe. He will need surgery.

Please contact Kathy Junk at kathy@wiaa.org

He is with Wasatch. We have used them twice and love them.

What is a "Special Needs" adoption?

I borrowed this title from my friend Lori over at Five of my own. I just felt it was such an important topic. The way China special needs adoption usually works is you see a brief description of a child....and that's it, no personality sometimes no pictures...but you know it goes beyond that.

These are living breathing children, children who have feelings and a personality and much more.

Here is what we saw:

Girl ~ 2/2005 ~ curvature of spine ~ club feet ~ orphanage delays

Girl ~ 1/2007 ~ third degree cleft lip and palate ~ orphanage delays

Girl ~11/2008 ~ strabimous ~ limb difference ~ limb deformity, possible dwarfism

and this is what those tiny little descriptions turned out to be ~

they are three beautiful girls with three very different personalities, three girls with a past that defined them and made them stronger, three beautiful girls that are no longer waiting.

These three brief descriptions turned into three beautiful girls with no limitaitons, they turned out to be our daughters. Beautiful beloved daughters.

Colossians 3:14

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity
