Fabulous Friday!! A little early...

Here it is, the creation I have been waiting to finish!! I LOVE this skirt!! I made one in the same pattern for Hope in both this fabric and a blue. She loves that it "twirls". I was going to sell this outfit but because the economy isn't great right now I am giving it away!!

Yep, that's right a giveaway!! This is a sz. 5-6 and it includes the tank customized by me, the skirt and the hair bow.

Just leave a comment and Hope will draw the winner on May 1st.

(I will also take orders for this outfit)

Had to add this picture, Hope and Grace are the bestest sisters!!!

And my new personal motto for the month. I love the line "Doesn't matter if you are happy or sad, just sing a song"

A Couple Outfits for Sale...

Here are several outfits I have for sale. If you are interested, please leave a comment and I will send you an invoice. Shipping is free and 10% of the proceeds will go to support Gracie's foster care program, Caring for China. I have a few more to list once these are sold and always take custom orders.

I would also like to thank those of you following our private blog for all your heartfelt prayers. We really appreciate them!!

Size 4 Jammies. Flannel pants and appliqued top. $25.00

This is a size 7-8. I love the fabric and wanted to keep it for Hope but this is a made up pattern and I didn't take her smallness into the mix. The fabric is gorgeous!! I will let this go for $30.00

Finally, this is a cute reversible pinafore and capri set for $30.00. You can wear it with or without a shirt underneath. I love this also and have gotten many compliments on the set I made for Gracie. The one I have ready is a size 18-24 mths.

I want to thank you all for the emails and prayers. They mean a lot. I really wish I could tell you all what is going on but this being a public blog I won't. I do have my private one still and have decided to use that for the time being. If you know me or want to follow, send me an email and I will add you to the list.

Thanks again for the prayers and please, keep them coming......

I lift up my eyes to the hills—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;

Absent for a while.....

OK, I had these huge plans to start my sewing biz again and while I do have around 6-8 outfits complete, we were blind sided with some news.

I can not go into details but will be gone from blogging for a bit. We could really use some prayers......

So much going on....

But first, want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. He is Risen!!
We had a pretty laid back Easter, just the seven of us at home in our new house. This was the first year Hannah really helped out in the kitchen. She helped with the baking, cooking and just about everything. I tell you there's nothing like mother daughter bonding while cooking good food!!

I tried a bunch of new recipes this year the main one a new ham recipe. I don't know about you but I was pretty tired of the traditional pineapple ham or the ole' stand by of honey baked, so I searched the net and came up with this Glazed Ham with Ginger peach sauce, and boy was it the BEST ever!! A complete thumbs up, even the kids raved. It does have a kick to it so be prepared!!

Ok, so the second new recipe was also from this same site, a yummy cheesy sour cream potato bake, then we had green beans with cranberries, southern biscuits and buttered corn.

Everything was gluten free, my tummy just can't tolerate gluten. However I have the best source for gluten free flour mixes. She has her own business and is doing quite well. I have tried a lot of different mixes and recipes and hers is always the best. It's called Gluten free mama and you can find it here. Shipping is a little pricey but so worth it!!

So, we ended with dessert which was my famous Chocolate lava mouse with fresh cream and a gluten free cinnamon lemon cheesecake with strawberry sauce. YUMMY!! Are you hungry all over again??

A couple of things happening here. I have a bunch of things sewn and ready to go. I will be putting them up this week and they will go on a first come first serve basis. The money earned will be saved for something I reveal later with 10% going towards Grace's orphanage in China. She had a wonderful sponsor called Caring for China and they are struggling right now.

I also want to start doing blog make overs, nothing fancy, just simple ones like this one and my other blog, here. Who ever leaves me a comment first will get theirs done for free!! (you just pay for the scrap kit or use one I already have) Keep in mind these are simple two column designs.

Now for our family Easter pictures!! Enjoy and have a blessed day!!

What a beautiful Weekend

Spent outside!! I better enjoy because we are headed into a week of rain and thunderstorms!!

Saturday, we all went to the grocery store, yes, fun times there!! Seriously, it was ok. Then we spent the rest of the day outside in our neighborhood.

Sunday Kerry woke up early and took the boys to a huge waterfall. The pictures are amazing. I am glad they had a good time. Next time I plan on going but staying very far from the edge of the falls!!

I spent the morning sleeping in. (yes!!) and then painting part of Hannah's room. I didn't finish though, instead we decided to explore our downtown. Had loads of fun walking around the area. Just think this area has been here for hundreds of years!! I love history!!

Our only theatre in town!! Can you believe it. At least they have first run movies. Secretly I think it's kind of cool!!

I know many of you are thinking, they should have gone to church, and we have. We are still trying to find one in our town and honestly going with five kids for the first time.... not easy.

Nothing New here....

Nothing much really going on, well that's not entirely true, however I am not even going into it here. I have started another blog, a private blog. If you want to follow send me an email. I can't promise it will be pretty or happy all the time, but it's real and it's honest....

So, yesterday Jake got such an amazing gift in the mail from a friend and former coworker of Kerry's. He is such a nice guy and when he found I was making Jake a Bama room he sent him a gift!! Thanks so much Mr. Tim!! We love you and miss you guys!!!

I'm a bad blogger......

Ok, y'all I am getting terrible with the updates. I do a post like my previous one and then I leave everyone hanging...

In my defense I have had most of the kiddos home sick and then we had doctors appointments and Hope and Grace finally got updated pictures at a studio. This is something I have been wanting to do for quite some time but just now got around to . Personally I should have saved the money and taken them myself...

Yep, that bad. I should have known the moment I walked in the door and the girl told me "I know you have an appointment but we are running really behind"
Are you kidding me??, do you know what it took to get my girls in pretty taffeta dresses, not stains with hair brushed and bows in.... Seriously, I think we sat there for about a half hour when another mom came in and I thought "oh, good at least I will have someone to talk to while we wait....WRONG, she even told her son not to play with the girls. I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt, however when Hope tried handing him a lego she looked at poor Hope like she had two heads. I'm just glad my girl is to young to understand things like this . People can be mean.

So here are a few of my favorites from today....Grace didn't smile but once and it was half hearted at best. I guess next time we will do this at home.
I am also working on my sewing. I have a couple things complete including a news boys shirt!!
