I got nothin...

We have been stuck in the house for days it seems. One child gets sick and the others follow. I am so ready for this flu thing to go away. SO, with nothing to post about enjoy these pictures from last weekend. Oh, and don't forget to check out the sewing site. New things are posted and a little about our "Road to Rachel".

Weekend of Fun

We had a great weekend!! Hope's one year gotcha day was Friday. Grandpa and Grandma stopped in to celebrate!! We started off with dinner at our favorite Chinese place, Jasmines. Next stop, ice cream. What would a celebration be like without that??!!??

Sunday we ended up at a really neat Civil War enactment. It wasn't very busy so was very nice to learn and see all of this. We got some great pictures. Next stop, lunch and then we followed the Grandparents out of town to a farmers market. Yummy!!

Now this sounds like a lot but our day is not quite finished...Hannah, Hope Grace and I ended up going to the library. They had a festival going on and we decided to stay for that to. All in all a great weekend. Now, I am ready to drop!! Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend too.

Raffle is canceled and other things...

Well, I did it, I canceled the raffle. We just didn't have a good turn out. I am relying on my sewing and the small amount of Kingdom Kids letters we did send out... Good thing tax refund season is around the corner. We do have a small amount of adoption credit remaining from adopting Grace to add on this years.
Oh and if you are looking for a gift idea for your little girl please consider ordering an apron from me.

Anyway, we have all been sick lately. I am not sure what it was but it was nasty. The doctor didn't want to chance seeing us just said lots of fluids and Tylenol/Motrin. Hannah is the only one still home from school. Hope and Jake seem to be the only ones that haven't caught it...

This week also marks Hope's three year anniversary with us. I still remember it like it was yesterday. She was so tiny and scared and just plain out screamed for her nanny. She remained that way through out the whole meeting with the officials and finally calmed down on the bus ride back to the hotel. Now, she is a strong willed four year old, who is so smart and outgoing. I think this child of mine could make friends with anyone anywhere. And boy do we all love her!!

Happy THREE year family day to my sweety Hope!!

Thank you so much for your kindness. We have really struggled with this adoption journey. We started out with a son, a handsome little guy we thought was ours. The agency was not upfront with us and we were heartbroken. However he does have a family and will be coming home soon. We now have a daughter, thanks to our previous agency. A beautiful little girl that was meant to be ours. She is loved so much and we can not wait to bring her home. We do need help and pray daily that a miracle will happen and we can come up with the remaining fees due.

So then just as you received Jesus Christ as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness.

A Couple of things....

OK, so you might have noticed, I have not taken the blog private yet...I intend to just not until Rachel is home. That brings me to another thought. I may be stopping the raffle, just not enough interest. I will refund the donations of those that have donated.

And one more thing, we are DTC!!! (as of September 2) No one bothered to let us know before hand....

Missing Caleb in the picture, he didn't think it was cool to pose with the chocolate kiss dude...
