A Beautiful Necklace~

That truly signifies our "journey to Joshua".

Taken from

Joshua 1:9
New International Version (NIV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

This is something that Kerry and I have held dear to our hearts.

Be strong and courageous!!

The courage to step out and adopt our son after being home so soon with Rachel~
The courage to step out and become a large family~
The courage to step out and keep going after all the trials we have faced with this adoption~

I could go on and on...

I feel so honored that Stacy has created this amazing necklace just for our fundraiser.

She is also an adoptive mom to many. She in addition to being a home schooling mom has a heart for orphans and does so much.

Her website is here:

and a little about the necklace she has created for Joshua:

This COURAGE necklace represents so much for the Christopher family. After a long, tough journey to their son, Joshua, it is almost time for him to come home. The Christopher family are in the final phases of their adoption journey and are in need of raising their final travel fees needed to bring their son home from China. $18 of each necklace will go directly to the Christopher's adoption fund. You can follow their journey HERE!
There are so many times in our lives that we need to be reminded to be courageous. This necklace will be a wonderful reminder where our courage lies....in Christ.
This listing includes:
~1" circle silver/nickel pendant
~red glass millefiori bead (precious beads that we bought in China and brought home on our trip to our son.)
~18" chain

Easter Joy~

It's that time again~ Seems like just yesterday we moved to a new state and started again. But, it's been a year~

 A year of getting adjusted....

Starting new schools or home school....

new job....

New friends....

New routines....

And a new brother!!!

Who will be home God willing in about 5 weeks~
Just over a month. Not much time at all.
And as all of you know adoption is expensive. But we have been blessed.

And now we are in the home stretch~
But still need some help.
Nothing that God can't handle. We are short $1900. And will need that before we can travel. In just five short weeks.

Friends have suggested a giveaway. With suggested donations.  But after much prayer we just don't feel right hosting a giveaway/raffle.

A good friend/fellow adoptive mother has created a beautiful piece of jewelry for us and is willing to donate all her profits from this gorgeous necklace to Joshua's adoption fee's.

More details to follow~

Christopher from Starfish

Christopher.

Isn't he the cutest thing ever?

Christopher is being fostered by a precious Australian
family who lives in Shanghai.
They have been fostering him since
he was a wee little tike of 8 weeks old.

How amazing that Christopher was able
to receive love, affection and attention from such a
young age.

But because of their country's restrictions for adoption,
they are unable to adopt him.

Which breaks my heart.
Sometimes things are so unfair in this life.

They, along with Amanda de'Lange,
are looking for him a forever family.

I have pictures and video to share because
once you see them
you will fall head over heels in love
with this little man.

So take a loooooooong look.

His foster family has written an update on him
that is only available to those who are truly
interested in adopting him
(not just truly interested in reading about him).

He also speaks English & Chinese well.
What a smart little man he is and
how incredible to bring a child home that you
can already communicate clearly with!

Christopher is on the shared list right now.

If you were to read his SN, most would keep
on reading because it may seem too hard for you.
But I just know there is one special family
out there for Christopher, where he
would continue
to flourish, shine, and bless your home.

His foster family shares that he is the
life of the party and
a joy to anyone he meets.

He is receiving excellent medical care in Shanghai
and continues to do well.

Christopher's SN is hydrocephalus & spina bifida.

You can view a video made
by his foster family and Amanda below.

And enjoy! Because seeing his smile puts a smile on my face and I just know it will yours!
