Special China Recipe~

Joshua has been asking, pleading and begging for his favorite treat from China. We have searched high and low for this um, delicacy with no luck.

Finally, I stumbled in the door of our local chinese restaurant. I must have looked frazzled and worn out. She asked what was wrong and I told her about our search.

She like the awesome person she is, not only offered to take my number and call us the next time she made them. She also left her business, went home and came back wtih two bags filled with chinese foods for Joshua.

How wonderful was that???

Well, Saturday was the day!! She called and told us to be there at 4. Which was a great thing because Josh and I...well to put it mildly, I was not his favorite person that day.

We went and not only did she have them fresh and waiting, she also had some for him to take home!!

And in case you all were wondering what it is....

Here's the first picture.....

And in case you didn't get a good visual, here is a second one for your enjoyment.

And my happy sweety, who is now a mama's boy :)  grinning and eating his treat. He was a pro, sticking the entire thing in his mouth and spitting out the nails and tiny bones.

Good imagery, right?!?!

We also had noodles and steamed veggies for those of us that did not partake of the chicken feet.

and in case you are wondering, yes, I did try them and they weren't to bad...but it's not something I will try again.

Not to shabby and I get a wink and a hug with an "I lub youa mommy"
